The Blue Calling is a personal children's book project.

The story is about a girl Ray who lives on the Moon, who is also her best and only friend. Every day they watch the blue dot in the sky and tell each other stories about it. Ray imagines people, animals, colours that must live on the blue dot, the Earth. She wonders what would it be like to belong.

One day, Ray wakes with a strong longing in her heart, a blue calling. She finally decides to send out a message. Even if getting the answer would mean she had to say goodbye to everything she ever knew.

This is a story of longing for a home and taking the first courageous step towards what you truly desire.

The illustrations were made on A3 paper with watercolours.
