Pearl and The Beast is a personal project. The story was inspired by Mary Oliver's poem Morning Poem which to me speaks of the courage to face life's thorns and still choose to live fully.

The story follows a girl named Pearl who falls deep down into a pond and meets a mysterious and scary creature. However, it may just be that the beast gives her a valuable gift to keep going.

 

Will she have what it takes to return back home to the surface?
